From the vibrant yellow colour scheme to Jamaican music and cuisine, guests at Nikki and Sam's were sporting sunglasses and smiles.
"I am actually half-Jamaican," says 30-year-old bride Nikki, "and when you have Jamaican blood running through your veins, you have to have a giggle as it is programmed in your genes."
The pair, who first met at a mutual friend's wedding, married on August 13, 2016 with 225 guests at St Edwards Church, Stow-on-the-Wold. A reception followed at Hyde Barn. Nikki describes the theme as yellow, fun and bright, which, with 29-year-old Sam’s help, she managed to pull off with class.
The sunny colour was tastefully scattered throughout the day, from the lining of Sam’s custom-made suit, to the braces on their page boy, balloons, Nikki's bouquet, and her Manolo Blannik shoes. “They’re the Sex and the City shoes that Big proposed to Carrie with, but in yellow,” describes Nikki. “The yellow definitely blinded everyone into putting sunglasses on and smiling through the day.”
Nikki’s Jamaican heritage was also on show, especially the food! “The intermingling of our cultures was perfectly summed up by the wedding breakfast of a beef roast carved by the guests, to the evening do of a Jamaican buffet with plenty of rice and peas, jerk chicken and sneaky rum punch,” smiles the bride.
"The whole day was laughter, dancing and flowing rum."

Nikki's Manolos looked gorgeous in yellow!
Even Satin & Lace Wedding Cars donned the couple's favourite yellow for the day.
"Sam is six foot seven, so for the first time, he had a suit that fit him perfectly," says Nikki.
The Caribbean vibe was set with a steel drum duo whose repertoire included The Little Mermaid's track Under the Sea.
The bridesmaids shone in 50s inspired party frocks with alternating yellow and white petticoats to co-ordinate with the golden theme.
Nikki's Stella York wedding dress was teamed with a statement headpiece from Isaac Charles Bridal House.
