Christina and James incorporate Greek tradition at chic London wedding

Greek traditions were combined with chic city style at Christina Loannou and James Harding’s London wedding.

London’s glorious St Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral hosted the couple’s picture-perfect summer wedding on July 18, 2015.

One hundred and eighty guests attended the celebrations, which included elements of Christina’s Greek heritage such as a traditional crown ceremony and candle lighting.

The memorable reception celebrations were then held at London’s iconic Langham Hotel, where ivory decor kept with the classic vibe and the Greek theme continued with a traditional money dance to end the night.

Christina, 33, and James, 31, met online four years ago, with James later proposing in Dubai – the couple’s favourite holiday destination.

The couple says their cultural wedding was easily the best day of their lives so far.

“It was a beautiful sunny day and I was marrying the man of my dreams, surrounded by all my friends and family in the most beautiful church and hotel in London,” Christina says.

The couple are now ready to start the next chapter of their lives, with airline pilot James securing his dream job flying for Emirates and based out of one of their favourite places – Dubai.

Christina arrived in style for her cathedral wedding and looked stunning in a strapless bejeweled gown.

Christina’s advice for other brides is just to relax. “Don’t stress too much in the run up to the wedding,” she says.
