“It’s all in the details” is a saying that rang true at the rustic wedding of Alice Date and Joe Bentley.
The couple, aged 26 and 27 respectively, married on September 5, 2015 at Clock Barn in Hampshire with 70 guests. “Our wedding was everything we wanted – relaxed, quaint, beautiful, filled with amazing flowers, company, food, drink and a fantastic atmosphere,” says Alice. From the detail of the bridesmaids’ accessories through to music choices, every aspect was given attention.
Alice’s bridal party were each given a sterling silver heart necklace, a simple but elegant addition the bride says complemented their dresses. For herself, the bride kept things simple with gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes and minimal accessories. “I don’t wear a lot of jewellery day-to-day and I didn’t want this to change,” she says. Her everyday hairdresser was also at the ready to tame her wild curls into an elegant up-do.
The couple carefully selected the music for their ceremony, all provided by a string trio, Rigaudon Music. “They sounded amazing and stayed and played love songs through our drinks reception,” says Alice. At the reception, 120 guests were given gingerbread men with their names stamped on and Joe’s mum made the delicious cake.
“We feel so lucky to say that our wedding was everything we wanted and truly the best day of our lives,” smiles Alice.
