Botleys Mansion By Bijou Weddings

In 1763 Joseph Mawby bought Botleys Park and pulled down the original building. The new Mansion was built in 1765–1769 using honey coloured stone hewn from the quarries of Barrington and Headington. As with traditional Palladian style architecture, the U shaped Mansion was built with a symmetrical aesthetic, and boasts an elevated position on the top of a hill, allowing for impressive views.

For periods of the 20th Century Botleys was used as a hospital of various sorts and then became a prestigious Head Office. It was acquired by Bijou in 2009 and converted back into the grand home with superb entertaining facilities that it was originally intended to be.

You can hold your ceremony inside or outside for numbers up to 300. For your reception, the Green Room can hold up to 130 guests and the Atrium, with its flexible dining space, is perfect for any number between 60 and 300.

The landscaped grounds and parkland surrounding Botleys are a stunning backdrop for summertime celebrations. During the colder months the grand reception rooms are warm and welcoming. At any time of year, the glass Atrium, with it’s crystal chandeliers and sweeping staircase, provides a truly magical setting for your Wedding Breakfast and evening celebrations.
