Clock Foot Barn

We bought Elms Farm, near Chelmsford, in 1994. It is a Listed Farmhouse dating back to the 16th century with a pretty pond, set in beautiful countryside with views as far as Danbury. We are privileged to live here.

There is a brick courtyard facing a magnificent traditional timber Essex Barn. That barn is named after the original name of the farm which appears on old deeds which we have which are hundreds of years old : Clockfoot.

While we feel lucky to have had the opportunity to have a part of Essex history as our home, we have always believed that heritage is to share.

We have used the barn for our own family occasions, but have always made it available to others a few times each year.

By restricting the number of weddings we host at our venue we are able to adapt Clockfoot Barn and grounds to be as each individual couple want it to be and can offer unrivalled access for the preparations - providing a truly individual venue for a wedding reception in Essex for their truly unique occasion.

We have years of experience of working with brides and grooms to plan the wedding of their dreams (often without breaking the bank!).
