Abigail’s is in memory of my beautiful daughter Abigail who was stillborn in April 2009. It is impossible to put into words the pain of loosing a child. I was faced with two options; to give up or fight on. I decided on the later. I wanted to do something to make my daughter proud. I had always dreamt of owning a Bridal Shop and a life changing event makes you realise life is too short so I did it! With the support of my amazing family and friends, Abigail’s is a lasting legacy for my baby girl.
We support Abigail’s Footsteps which was also set up in Abigail’s memory. The charity was launched, firstly to improve the bereavement training for midwives and to improve the quality of supportive information that families receive if they suffer a stillbirth. Fundraising also supports the purchase of equipment for maternity wards.
